But Bloomington is a LOT like Blacksburg!


Ok, ok, I know it's an away game. But, the buildings look similar (Hokie stone-ish), the football stadium looks the same (IU, Wake and VT share the same design), the town size and vibe are similar.

I’ll be in Bloomington Saturday sporting my Hokie gear, even if I don’t make it to the game. My IU junior daughter is on a Little 500* team and they have a preliminary event Saturday afternoon right scross the street from Assemby Hall. 50/50 we’re done in time to catch the game too.

* little 500 = bicycling race. Google “Breaking Away” movie. Actual race is in several weeks but they have different preliminary races leading up to it.
